Kupo: Grip Head with Hex Stud
Apr 27th 2022
Hello, this short video will introduce you to the Kupo Grip Head with Hex Stud. The Kupo Grip Head with Hex Stud allows you to mount the grip head to any clamp with a hexagonal receiver, such as a Convi clamp or Super Viser clamp. This gives you the flexibility to mount a grip arm anywhere one of these clamps can go. Let's rig a scrim in front of a1k for now on the same stand that's supporting the light fixture. First we'll place a clamp around the riser section of your light stand. Turn the handle clockwise until it's securely mounted. Press the safety button and insert the stud into the hexagonal receiver, then release the button and turn the set screw clockwise until secure. Now that we have positioned our grip arm, just slide the ⅜” pin on the scrim frame into the corresponding V-shaped jaw on the grip arm. Position, then tighten the handle. As you can see, being able to mount the grip head directly to some extremely versatile clamps gives you practically unlimited rigging options. Thank you for watching. When it comes to your vision and your grip equipment, at Kupo we like to say, “Never let go.”
