Hello and welcome to this short video on the Round Stud with 3/8"-16 and 1/4"-20 Male threads. This solid brass Baby, or ⅝” diameter stud has two male threads ¼”-20 and one side and 3/8"-16 on the other. This stud can be used to convert any ¼”-20 or 3/8"-16 female thread into a Baby stud. Let's mount a speedlight onto our C-stand. First we'll place the Baby ⅝” receiver of our umbrella adapter onto our lights. Now we will screw the ¼”-20 male thread into the ¼”-20 female thread of the hot shoe adapter. Kupo has included a hole in the center of the stud to allow tightening using a tool, such as a screwdriver. Now place the Baby stud into the baby receiver in the top of the umbrella adapter. Secure in place with the set screw. Lastly mount a speedlight into the hot shoe and secure in place with the set screw. This stud can convert any ¼”-20 female thread into a 3/8"-16 male or vice-versa, a 3/8"-16 female thread into a ¼”-20 male. That’s a wrap – thanks for watching.
